The Love of Christ: Why He Still Chases You

This Is Why Jesus Still Chases You And Never Stops

Introduction: The Love of Christ That Never Gives Up

There is a love in this world that never stops loving you no matter how you've messed up.

A love that feels hurt by you yet refuses to quit, even when you have failed, stumbled, or walked away yet he still sticks closer than your loved ones.

That love is the love of Jesus Christ.

Many people think that God only loves them only when they are doing well—when they are righteous, when they pray, when they serve, when they are faithful. Our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God yet He still loves us the way we are.

Here's the truth:

Jesus loves you even when you are far away.

He still chases you because He wants you to come to Him so He can take abode in you.

He still reaches out to you even when you don't notice Him.

He still calls you by your name. He said, come unto me all you who labours and carry heavy ladden, and I will give you rest. He desires you more than you can ever think you need Him. He thinks about you all the time. Day and night because He desires to have a relationship with you. And He's a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Even when the world has rejected you, even when your family has abandoned you, even when your own heart has betrayed you…Yet

Jesus is still running after you and never gives up on you.

And His love is not merited or based on your performance.

It is based on His character of love.

It is based on His mercy and compassion.

It is based on His grace and favor.

The Love That Seeks You (The Prodigal Heart)

The Story of the Prodigal Son That Jesus Told Us

That there was once a man who had two sons.

The younger son asked his rich father for his inheritance and he gave it to him, the young man left home to live a life of sin in another city that's far away from.

He spent everything on pleasures, parties, and selfish living.

But when he became broke and hungry, he realized he had made a terrible mistake and had nowhere to go.

He decided to come back home, even though he was ashamed, broken, and empty.

And what did his father do when he saw him afar off?

He ran to meet his son.

Not walked.

Not waited.

He ran.

He embraced him even in his dirty state.

He forgave him and threw a welcome party to his son.

He restored him.

This story is not just a story.

It is a picture of God’s love for you.

Even when you are lost, Jesus still chases you.

Even when you are in the darkness, Jesus still seeks you.

Even when you are broken, He still runs to you.

Because His love is not a love that waits.

It is a love that pursues even when you're not yet ready for Him.

The Scripture tells us:

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.” — Luke 15:20

The True Story of a Chased Heart

There's a young woman who once lived a life that's full of rebellion.

She did drugs, drank alcohol, and lived with men she didn’t love.

Her life became a total mess.

She got to a point in her life that her body got tired. Even her soul was tired too.

There came one night, she cried out in her heart and said:

“God, if you are real, please show me yourself because I am tired of everything.”

When she slept that night she had a dream.

She said she saw a man with scars on his hands and feet.

He stretched out his hand and reached out to her.

She woke up weeping uncontrollably.

She couldn’t explain it but she knew one thing:

She was being chased by the love of Jesus Christ.

The next day she went to church and gave her life to Christ. And that's how she repented and became a new creation in Christ Jesus.

She gave her life to Christ.

Today, she is a mother of three, a strong believer, and a woman who preaches the love of Christ.

Her life was not perfect, but her heart was changed. Why?

Because Jesus chased her based on His unconditional love for her.

2: The Love That Forgives You (The Power of Mercy and Compassion)

The Woman Who Was Caught in Sin

Jesus was teaching in the temple when the Pharisees brought a woman caught in the act of adultery.

They said to Jesus:

“Teacher, this woman was caught in the act.”

They expected Jesus to condemn her.

But what Jesus did was something shocking.

He wrote on the ground and said:

“Let the one without sin cast the first stone.”

One after one, her accusers left Jesus with the woman.

Then Jesus looked at the woman and said:

“Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.”

Based on Scripture Jesus said:

“Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.” — John 8:11

This story shows us the love of Jesus is not just love.

It is mercy and compassion.

Jesus doesn't just only forgive our sins. He also transforms us.

Jesus didn’t just save her.

He healed her.

He restored her.

He gave her a new life.

A Real-Life Example of Mercy

A man once stole money from his company and he was caught.

He was really ashamed of his actions and expected them to fire him. He expected them to criticize and reject him.

But the CEO called him and said: “I know you are not a bad person. I know you’ve made a mistake which was not intentional but I still believe in you. I want to help you get back on your feet.”

That man cried because he never expected mercy from his Boss but he received it.

He repented and returned the money to his boss. He became a better man.

This is the same way Jesus loves you.

He doesn’t love you because you are perfect.

He loves you because He is a merciful and compassionate father.

3: His Love Heals (The Healing Power of Christ)

Jesus Heals the Broken

Jesus healed the sick.

He restored the blind.

He raised the dead.

He healed the broken.

He healed hearts.

He healed souls.

He healed minds.

He healed marriages.

He healed families.

And He still heals today.

The scripture says:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3

A Story of Healing

A man lived in depression for years. He tried therapy and also tried medication but nothing worked.

One day, he attended a church service. During worship, he felt a warm presence and embrace that his soul was longing for.

He felt peace which passed all understanding to me.

He felt love that's shed abroad in his heart.

He cried tears of joy and happiness.

He surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and made Him his personal Lord and Savior.

That night, he slept for the first time in years without anxiety.

The next morning, he woke up with joy like a river in his soul. His life changed from glory to glory.

What happened to him and why did it happen? Because Jesus healed him by taking his burden away from him. Not through human effort. But through His love.

4: The Love That Gives You Purpose (Living Like Jesus and Becoming the True Expression of Christ)

Many people think Christianity is just about religion. But it is more than that. Christianity is a lifestyle. Living the life of Christ in humanity.

It is a way of living. Jesus didn’t come just to save us. He came to teach us how to live His life - the life of God called Zoe, here on earth.

He came to show us how to love one another. He came to show us how to walk in humility despite your riches. He came to show us how to forgive one another and keep working in love, peace and joy.

He came to show us how to serve both God and man through humility, love and respect.

Jesus’ Example of Love

Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. A powerful King of kings washing the feet of his servants.

That is an amazing love.

That is humility expressed in humanity.

And the Scripture says:

“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” — John 13:14

5: The Love That Will Return (The Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ)

Jesus is coming back for His sheep.

This is not a myth.

This is not a story that is formed.

This is a promise that must be fulfilled on earth.

According to the Scripture, He said:

“Behold, I am coming soon.” — Revelation 22:12

He is coming for His Church.

He is coming for those who love Him.

He is coming for those who follow Him.

He is coming for those who live His lifestyle.

The Rapture: Why It Matters

The Rapture is not about casting fears in the hearts of people.

It is about hope to reunite with Our Lord and Savior.

It is about the promise that He assured us and the hope for His Church.

It is about the love of Christ coming to take His Bride.

Scripture says:

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16

Scripture says:

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” — Matthew 4:17

A Simple Prayer of Repentance

If you want to surrender your life to Jesus, say this prayer out Loud and believing in your heart:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe you came from Our heavenly Father and you died and rose again and ascended to the Father.

I confess my sins.

I repent of my sins.

I ask You to forgive me.

I invite You into my life.

I receive You as my Lord and Savior.

Help me live for You every day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
