The New Creation has his identity in Christ. We are of God because of what Christ has done on our behalf. All that Christ has is in us and all that we have comes from Christ.

In the book of Romans the Apostle Paul explains our identification in Christ.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Our identification with Christ was why Paul consistently in his letters and other Apostle referred to Jesus as the FIRST BEGOTTEN or the FIRST BORN FROM THE DEAD.

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the FIRSTBORN FROM THE DEAD; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

[Please take a very good note of this fact: Our identification is in Christ the first begotten or the firstborn from the dead and not Christ the only begotten son of God. John 3:16.]

The dead in the above text refers to men, dead men buried in sin. Meaning Jesus died and was buried with us. For our sins and for His sins, for He knew no sin.(2Corinthians 5:21)

1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

Gloryyyyyyyyy, His resurrection has became the breeding grounds for many brethren. Upon Christ’s resurrection He has many brethren which are we who have believed.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

He is not the only one now, He is amongst many of His kind.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to CALL THEM BRETHREN.

A new humanity; race; species found in the resurrection – in Christ.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Man is recreated in Christ! Now we are Sons of God.

Hebrews 12:23 To the general assembly and church of THE FIRSTBORN which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and FIRST BEGOTTEN FROM THE DEAD, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

The term “THE FIRST BEGOTTEN OR THE FIRSTBORN” comes from the Greek word PROTOTOKOS.
PROTOTOKOS implies a “PROTOTYPE; a MODEL.
It is the model of what others will be like, meaning that when you see the firstborn, his make up will be same as other children in the family. He is not superior to other children neither are they inferior to him.

So Paul used the word “conformed” in his explanation in Romans 8;
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be CONFORMED to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

The word CONFORMED in the above text was translated from the Greek word “SUMMORPHOS”. The word conformed used here is the not the same word Paul used in Romans 12

Romans 12:2 And be not CONFORMED to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The word CONFORMED in the above text was translated from the Greek word “SUCHEMATIZO” which means a gradual adaptation.
The word “conformed” used in the above text was the same English word used in translation of Romans 12:2 from the original language according to King James Version of the books of the Bible, but they carry different concepts.

The believer does not gradually become the son of God neither does adapt to sonship. The firstborn or the first begotten from the dead brought many sons unto glory upon His resurrection.

The word “SUMMORPHOS” used by Paul in Romans 8:29 was again used by Paul in Philippians 3

Philippians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be FASHIONED LIKE UNTO his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

SUMMORPHOS means MADE LIKE. It presupposes a pattern, a design that others follow.
This text in Philippians refers to Jesus’ body being the kind of the believer’s at the resurrection. This again is definitely not a matter of process. It’s instantaneous!

Similarly, we are fashioned in His (Christ) image because He is the prototype; the firstborn among many of His kind (His brethren). God prepared us, God preplanned us and God fashioned us in the image He made Christ at the resurrection. We are one spirit with him now.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is ONE SPIRIT.

We are sons as He is. When we see Him in His resurrection, we see prototype, our kind, our species, our pattern and our breed.

Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call THEM BRETHREN.

The word “BRETHREN” which is “ADELFOS” means “FROM THE SAME WOMB”.
We are from the source of birth, the same bloodline and the same DNA. We are from the same womb.
You may asked, which womb? Mary’s womb?
That cannot not be possible. Mary’s womb of was for Jesus at His incarnation.

MY IDENTIFICATION IN CHRIST IS FOUND IN HIS RESURRECTION. WHEN HE DIED, I DIED AND HE ROSE WITH ME TO NEW LIFE. HIS LIFE IS MY LIFE, HIS BLOOD MY BLOOD, HIS SPIRIT MY SPIRIT. WE ARE FROM THE SAME WOMB. I SEE MYSELF IN CHRIST GLORY.

YOU ARE BLESSED, ENJOY GRACE!
